For his Fall / Winter 2021 collection, Jun Takahashi reached out for a partnership with Swedish painter Markus Akesson. Which makes these collaborative pieces so effective is because each man’s artistry served to enhance the other’s. Akesson’s figurative and sometimes photorealistic painting include a fascinating series of shrouded figures that showcase his fantastic talent for reproducing fabrics on canvas.
